A Culture of Community

At Safari Realty

Community isn’t just where we work, it’s who we are.
Founded in 1988 by Fran and Frank Reali, Safari Realty was built on a simple yet powerful belief: strong communities are created when people help people. For over three decades, that belief has guided every sale, sponsorship, and service effort our team has embraced.

Rooted in Service

Before opening Safari Realty, Fran and Frank were already deeply involved in the Staten Island community coaching youth sports, volunteering through St. Teresa’s Parish, and raising funds for charitable causes. Their commitment to helping others was woven into their daily lives long before it became their business philosophy.

Building a Business Around Giving Back

From the start, giving back was part of Safari Realty’s DNA. In their first year, the Realis donated Thanksgiving baskets to local families in need and launched an annual toy drive for children. Those early efforts grew into decades of partnership with Staten Island organizations and charities that strengthen the borough we proudly call home.

Over the years, Safari Realty and the Reali family have been honored with numerous awards for community service and leadership including recognition from the Alzheimer’s Association, Staten Island Zoo, Staten Island Museum, SI Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist International, and Staten Island University Hospital, among many others.

Leadership Through Action

Fran and Frank have served on the boards and committees of dozens of local organizations, including the Staten Island Zoo, Children’s Museum, Richmondtown Historical Society, American Cancer Society, Mid-Island Rotary, Kiwanis, A Very Special Place, World of Women, and Project Hospitality. Their hands-on involvement reflects their lifelong commitment to creating a stronger, more compassionate Staten Island.

Safari Realty has also been recognized for its professional excellence earning awards from the Staten Island Board of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors, and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate for Fair Housing, Community Service, and leadership.

Turning Loss Into Legacy

In 2008, after the passing of their son, Frank J. Reali III, from an undetected heart condition (HCM), the Realis founded Protecting One Young Heart at a Time, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free heart screenings for young athletes.
To date, the foundation has funded over one million dollars in testing and equipment, partnering with local hospitals to screen more than 5,000 children helping save lives and change awareness for families across Staten Island and beyond.

Lifelong Learning & Industry Leadership

Both Fran and Frank have proudly represented Staten Island on local, state, and national real estate stages.

  • Fran Reali, President of SIBOR (2024) and Realtor of the Year (2020), continues to advocate for professionalism, education, and Fair Housing.
  • Frank Reali, former SIBOR President (2007) and MLS Chairman (2023), has served as Director for NYSAR and NAR, earning the RPAC Hall of Fame distinction in 2023.
Both are Golden “R” Investors and President’s Circle Members of RPAC, committed to protecting homeowner rights and strengthening the future of real estate.
